MARKET OVERVIEW
Stock Market:
Vietnam: The market shows signs of recovery but caution is still advised near the resistance level of 1,215 points. Declining liquidity indicates reduced selling pressure, while cash flow remains supportive. In the short term, the market may fluctuate sideways to establish equilibrium before a clearer trend emerges. If supportive momentum continues, the recovery could strengthen after the accumulation phase.
U.S.: The U.S. stock market rebounded strongly on April 23, 2025, after previous declines. The Dow Jones rose 1.1% to 39,606.57 points, the S&P 500 climbed 1.7% to 5,375.86 points, and the Nasdaq surged 2.5% to 16,708.05 points. The rally was driven by a softer tone from President Donald Trump on trade policies and the Federal Reserve, along with optimism about U.S.-China trade talks. All 11 sectors in the S&P 500 advanced, led by financials, technology, and consumer stocks. However, the upward momentum showed signs of slowing toward the session's end as investors took profits after the strong rebound.
