MARKET OVERVIEW

1. Stock Markets:

Vietnam Market:

Unexpected sharp decline, breaking multiple support levels and temporarily stabilizing at 1,220 – 1,230 points. Liquidity surged, indicating strong selling pressure despite some low-level buying. Negative factors like U.S. tax policies have left the market directionless. The downtrend remains strong, with potential testing of the 1,200 support zone (November 2024 low), though bargain-hunting may cushion further drops.

U.S. Market:

Declined due to inflation concerns and Fed tightening. The Dow Jones and S&P 500 dipped slightly, while the Nasdaq faced heavier tech sell-offs. Rising U.S. Treasury yields pressured growth stocks. Caution prevails ahead of non-farm payroll data. Short-term volatility expected, with key support tests likely if selling intensifies.

2. Forex (EUR/USD):

Current Rate: 1.078 – 1.080
