Vietnam Market:
The VN-Index continued to find support around the 1,750 area, showing a recovery signal through the Hammer candlestick pattern. Liquidity remained stable, indicating steady buying demand. Although the market has not yet surged strongly, short-term corrections are helping rebalance sentiment and could pave the way for a move toward the 1,800 resistance zone in the near term.
U.S. Market:
On October 16, U.S. stocks turned lower — S&P 500 -0.6%, Dow Jones -0.7%, Nasdaq -0.5%. Several mid-tier banks raised concerns over bad debts as they increased provisions, weighing on investor sentiment. Meanwhile, the 10-year Treasury yield fell below 4%, and gold surged more than 2.5% as investors sought safe-haven assets amid rising uncertainty.
USD/JPY: Continues its downtrend; traders may look for short opportunities on price rebounds.
Resistance: 150.800
GBP/USD: Uptrend remains intact; traders may look for long opportunities on dips.
Support: 1.32200
Gold continues its strong bullish momentum, currently trading around $4,082.33/oz, marking a new all-time high after weaker-than-expected U.S. data and rising geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.
December gold futures hover near $4,106.80/oz.
The overall trend remains bullish, but volatility is elevated — caution is advised before entering new long positions.
Crude oil (XTI/USD) declined slightly to around $58.60, pressured by higher U.S. crude inventories and slowing demand concerns.
Trend: Bearish — traders may consider short positions near $59.50 – $60.00 resistance.
The cryptocurrency market remains under selling pressure.
BTC/USD is trading near $108,374, down about 1.2% from the previous session.
Market sentiment is shifting toward risk-off, as capital moves away from risky assets. Altcoins are under heavier pressure than Bitcoin.
Recommendation: Avoid opening new positions until volatility stabilizes.
