MARKET OVERVIEW

1. Stock Markets

Vietnam Market:
The market saw a sharp decline during the session and retreated close to the MA(50) around 1,775 points, but quickly found support and made efforts to reclaim the 1,800-point level. Trading liquidity increased slightly, indicating rising supply, though it was mainly concentrated in certain stock groups and did not create widespread pressure across the market. Holding above the 1,800-point area suggests selling pressure remains insufficient to reverse the short-term trend, allowing the market to stay supported and gradually form a new consolidation zone above 1,800 points in the coming period.

U.S. Market:
In the February 2 trading session, Wall Street continued its strong recovery as investor sentiment improved following the previous consolidation phase. The S&P 500 rose approximately 0.5% to 6,976.44 points, the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged about 1.1% to 49,407.66 points, and the Nasdaq Composite advanced roughly 0.6% to 23,592.11 points. Notably, the Russell 2000 gained around 1%, reflecting broader capital inflows into small-cap stocks. This positive performance pushed major indices closer to record highs, signaling renewed buying interest after the recent correction.
