Gold, Bitcoin, and Stocks: Who Will Lead the Wave After US Inflation Data?

Release Time: 10:00 AM, July 15, 2025
Publisher: Mr. Leon

MARKET OVERVIEW

1. Stock Market:

  • Vietnam Market:
The market continued its uptrend, reaching 1,470 points, though experiencing significant intraday volatility. Liquidity increased, signaling profit-taking activities returning without creating major pressure. Disputes are expected to continue, but with strong capital inflows and a positive trend, the market still has potential to move toward the 1,480–1,500-point range.

  • US Market:
Major indices posted modest gains as they attempted to maintain momentum despite concerns over a new trade war. The S&P 500 rose 0.1% to 6,268.56 – near historic highs. The Dow Jones added 0.2%, closing at 44,459.65. The Nasdaq Composite gained 0.3%, closing at 20,640.33 – setting a new record high.

2. Forex:

  • EUR/USD: Short-term uptrend. Long positions may be considered today. Daily support: 1.16660

  • USD/JPY: Short-term downtrend. Short positions may be considered today. Daily resistance: 147.800

3. Gold:

Spot gold is up slightly by 0.1%, trading at 3,346.94 USD/oz, as the market awaits the June US CPI data — a key signal for upcoming Fed policy.
US gold futures remain around 3,355.60 USD/oz.

Gold is supported by its safe-haven appeal amid trade tensions (US threatens 30% tariffs on EU & Mexico), although facing pressure from rising US Treasury yields and a stronger USD.

Current levels (~3,347 USD) remain stable. If CPI is lower than expected or if USD and yields ease, gold may target 3,400 USD/oz.

4. Oil:

  • XTI/USD: Downtrend. Short positions may be considered today. Daily resistance: 68.40

5. Bitcoin:

  • Current Price: ~118,035 USD

  • Daily Range: 117,938 – 122,852 USD

  • Change vs. yesterday: down approx. –1.35%

Quick Take:
BTC saw a mild pullback after reaching near 120k USD, reflecting a healthy correction in the crypto market.
Risk-on capital appears cautious, awaiting US CPI data and developments on tariffs and global trade.
