MARKET OVERVIEW
1. Stock Market: - Vietnam Market:
The market continues to maintain a balanced state above the MA(20) line, indicating that capital flow is still supportive and selling pressure is not too strong. Although liquidity has not improved significantly, the overall trend remains positive with the potential for price increases after a period of accumulation around the support zone. It is expected that in the near future, the market may continue to recover, heading towards the next resistance zone around 1265 points – where the MA(100), MA(150), and MA(200) lines converge.
- US Market:
The US stock market slightly declined on May 1, 2025, after a prolonged rally, as investors worried about trade tensions and interest rate prospects. The Dow Jones closed at 41,218.83 points, down 0.24%; the S&P 500 lost 0.64% to 5,650.38 points; and the Nasdaq fell 0.74% to 17,844.24 points. Additionally, the sharp drop in crude oil prices and news that Warren Buffett will step down as CEO of Berkshire Hathaway also contributed to increased selling pressure.
